National Fair Housing Month
National Fair Housing Month

Every April, we observe the passage of the Fair Housing Act of 1968, a national law prohibiting discrimination in the sale, rental, and financing of housing based on race, color, national origin, religion, and gender. The Act was later amended to include protection for people with disabilities and families with children.

We honor our recommitment to creating fair opportunities and boosting homeownership by observing Fair Housing Month. In addition, it reminds us that the principle of Fair Housing is not only state and national law but a fundamental human right and entitlement for all people.

As community leaders, and Affordable Housing professionals, we are proud to be part of equitable and inclusive change. We welcome all neighbors, recognizing the contributions and richness of people from diverse backgrounds, ethnicities, and religious traditions.

HDS Companies and our three business units, Housing and Development Software, eHousingPlus, and HDS Allita, join in solidarity with Fair Housing Advocates nationwide to support National Fair Housing Month.
