JED GRAEF JOINS HDS

SOFTWARE DIVISION NAMES NEW HOUSING BUSINESS MANAGER

Weston, FL, April 7, 2015– Housing and Development Services, Inc., the parent company of Housing and Development Software LLC (HDS) announces the appointment of Mr. Jed Graef as a Housing Business Manager.  Graef joins HDS effective April 15th, 2015

Abdul Mondol, President of the Software Division expressed; “We are delighted that Jed is joining HDS in this capacity.  The Section 8 and Multifamily industries are very important to HDS.  Jed will strengthen our Team, and will provide us with strong industry and regulatory knowledge necessary for this key market.”

Graef got his start in Affordable Housing over 25 years ago as a programmer for A&M Software in Vermont. Later, as the development director, he designed the first Contract Administrator product, HFA Manager.  Jed worked closely with many state agencies, and later transitioned to becoming an expert in regulatory compliance.  In 1997, he joined IPM Software at their Director of Regulatory Compliance, where he focused on HUD Multifamily concerns for both Owners/Agents and Contract Administrators, in addition to Tax Credits.  During this period he also worked directly as a HUD Contractor on the TRACS re-engineering project, specifically the original 202C Industry Specifications.  Graef has been a respected industry expert for years.  He has been requested by HUD to Chair various Industry Groups, including the assignment to write the specifications for TRACS 202D.

Since 2009, Graef has worked with MRI Software (formerly Bostonpost) as a Product Manager for Affordable Compliance.  His focus has been on HUD Multifamily, Tax Credits, HOME, PHA, Rural Housing and others.  His passion is finding innovative solutions to complex regulatory issues, and firmly believes software should be designed to free up people to make decisions. “The people who work on the state side of business are unfailingly bright, committed and knowledgeable” said Graef.
